Eye protection

Your eyes are sensitive organs and you only get one set of them to last you a lifetime; if you poke things into them, or pour nasty liquids into them, or expose them to very bright light, you will damage them.  Possibly so badly that no hospital will be able to do much about it.  You may lose your job and you may lose your sight.

In this course the learner will learn how to take the proper precautions, use the appropriate protective eye equipment and use it in the right way.

• Recognize the requirement to routinely use eye protection
• Appreciate the possible consequences of not wearing suitable eye protection
• Know how to store and maintain eye protection equipment
• Be able to identify common tasks where eye protection is required
• Recognize the types of eye and face protection available
