Resilience, Adapting to change

Problems arise on board ships every day and seafarers are confronted with challenges that can be difficult to overcome. Without adequate resilience, seafarers are unable to bounce back from setbacks and fail to ensure the continued safe operation of the vessel.

The second module in Seagull Maritime’s series on Resilience focuses on the effects that inadequate resilience has on board a vessel. Explaining the importance of accepting change, managing crises and adapting to change, the module looks at ways for people to increase their flexibility when setbacks occur.
