Stress Management

55,00

The goals of our e-learning modules are to enhance the competence requirements of STCW and to improve best industry practice when it comes to leadership and management training. The focus is on the development of organizational, personal and social competences among junior and senior officers. At Seagull we saw the importance of leadership training several years ago which led to a tight collaboration with management specialist Green-Jakobsen in Denmark.

Stress is a normal part of life. Stress can either help or hinder us from dealing with different circumstances, but this depends on how we react to it and manage it. High levels of stress can have a serious impact on the crew’s performance onboard because stress itself increases the risk of human errors. If we manage stress positively, our bodies will repair any damage it has caused. But if we deal with it negatively, stress-related tensions will build up and take over our control and in the long term, stress can lead to health problems. In the shipping business – where safety is one of the most important concerns – successful Stress Management can improve performance and help reduce the risk of accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
