This course covers all aspects of VOC emissions during the different cargo operations and looks in detail at the various measures available to deal with problem of VOC emissions control, including vapor emission control systems, VECS.

With the entry into force of the recently revised MARPOL annex VI all crude oil tankers are required to have a VOC management plan and a designated person responsible for onboard control of volatile organic compound emissions. This course has been specifically developed to meet the requirements for training the designated person whilst also providing an invaluable information source for VOC management and control requirements for all Operational and Management personnel involved with cargo operations onboard crude oil carriers.
