Gangway Security

Effective gangway security is an important subject today and this e-learning program is intended to provide guidance for personnel performing gangway security duties. The procedures and regulations for gangway security are there, but to be effective they need to be applied properly and consistently. The gangway security personnel’s role in that process is crucial.

The aim of this course is to emphasize the importance of the gangway as the designated point of access to a vessel, and what makes an effective gangway security watch and how to comply with the relevant sections of the ISPS code.
