Hand tool safety

Metal tools, for instance, can cause a spark when dropped, and could therefore be a source of ignition in a flammable environment. They might also cause a short circuit across the terminals of batteries.

In this course we are going to look at the common dangers when using hand tools; how proper care, maintenance and use of tools, including the checks needed for power operated hand tools, can help us all keep safe.
