COLREGs, Conduct of vessels

In response to the collisions that continue to occur between vessels at sea, this course has been developed to improve seafarer knowledge of “Rule of the Road”. By using effective visualization techniques, the course ensures visual and easy understanding of lights, shapes and sound signals. Effective learning is ensured through exercises that test the learner‘s knowledge of the application of the rules. This course is aimed at active navigators on power driven vessels of more than fifty meters in length.

Learning objectives:

• Identify the conditions when a risk of collision may exist
• Identify the actions to be taken when meeting other vessels and to avoid the risk of collision
