Effective fire drills

Fire remains one of the top three causes for the loss for marine vessels. Due to the dangers of certain cargoes and the nature of operations on board, the risk of fire can never be completely eliminated. Once fire breaks out, ships crew and fire fighting equipment are the only defense against possibly catastrophic spreading.

The more effective training and drills are, the better the ship’s crew will be in handling the real thing.

Effective fire drills emphasizes the key elements in creating and managing effective fire drills including their planning, preparation, conduction and evaluation, to make sure ships crews are as ready as they can be.
