The safe handling of dangerous goods in packaged form can depend upon those at management and operational level having a proper appreciation of the risks associated with these hazardous cargoes and an understanding of how they are stowed and transported in accordance with the IMDG Code.
This course provides the essential knowledge required by those operating at management and operational and involved in planning stowage, handling and transporting dangerous goods in packaged form. The content includes general dangerous goods safety awareness and covers emergency response to incidents involving packaged dangerous goods.
The module meets the requirements of US title 49 Code of Federal Regulations 171-172 HAZMAT training required by those officers involved in dangerous cargo/HAZMAT related functions.
The course can be completed Onshore or Onboard.
