ISO 45001, Health and Safety Management systems

The purpose of Occupational Health and Safety Management System is to ensure the safety and good health of all employees, visitors and contractors in the workplace. A Safety Management System, SMS, is a requirement of the ISM Code, and for those companies who choose to also use the ISO standard 45001, an understanding of the requirements of that standard is essential.

This course will introduce the learner to the main requirements of ISO 45001, which replaced the previous standard, OHSAS 18001.

• The structure of ISO 45001 and how it relates to the ISM Code
