Recovery of persons from the water

The EU introduced its own requirements for an inventory of hazardous materials, (EU SRR) which became mandatory for nearly all ships in EU waters from December 2020. The aim of this course is to introduce the IHM and the requirements for documentation and maintenance. The course will also state the consequences of not having an IHM.

Learning objectives:

• State the reasons for the introduction of the Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM)
• State who verifies the ship’s IHM, and what documentation is required
• State the requirements for maintaining an Inventory of Hazardous Materials
• Know the consequences of not having an Inventory of Hazardous Materials
