SEEMP Part II, The IMO DCS and EU MRV

To measure and ultimately reduce, greenhouse gasses, ships over 5000 GT are required by the IMO DCS system (SEEMP part II) to report their annual fuel consumption. Vessels trading in EU waters are also required to make similar reports under the EU MRV system. Failure to report correctly has led to some ships being fined.

This course aims to raise awareness regarding the purpose and requirements of the IMO DCS (SEEMP part II) and the EU MRV reporting systems, so that those onboard ship understand their responsibilities and complete fuel and emissions reports correctly.
